Billy Joel from his 1986 interview with The Rolling Stones
"...music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by."

Hi, I'm Cela! I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Neurologic Music Therapist. I help children, teens, and adults process emotionally difficult experiences and strengthen internal coping skills. I also work with professionals to increase mental clarity/productivity by guiding clients through music-based mindfulness and grounding to decrease stress, tension, and anxiety.
I have experience working with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, medically-complex situations, and professionals who work in high stress environments. If you relate to any of the above, you know it can feel like you don't know, like, or accurately represent who you truly are at home, school, work, and everything in between. I am passionate about helping my clients in connect and/or reconnect to their core selves whether that's through expressing yourself in Music Therapy or shedding off strain and nerves in Music + Wellness.

I enjoy a flexible, collaborative approach. My style is a blend of working with you on what you need in the moment and what you want for life.

At Melody Turned Therapy LLC, our priority is to meet clients where they are at. We use a humanistic approach to Music Therapy and
Music + Wellness meaning we believe that every person has the ability to reach their full potential.

With advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy, we also use a neuroscience-based framework by engaging the brain's ability to make new connections (neuroplasticity) through elements of music and music itself to achieve session goals such as processing, learning, and growing.
